COVID19 Solutions Workshop with Imaginei5 + COVID Accelerator
April 19, 2020

“During the COVID-19 Solutions Workshop hosted by The-Play-Project and UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Marc and Sarah offered their guidance and time to making the event a success.

They were with us every step of the way — from helping us develop the ideation session for our attendees to providing prompts and facilitating the ideation session during the event.

Frankly, it would have not been as well executed without The Determined. After the event, our attendees reached out to let us know that they found the ‘thinking wrong’ prompt to be effective and appreciated their support during the break out rooms. Our attendees cited Marc and Sarah to be creative and imaginative, which helped get their creative juices flowing too.

On a personal note, I have continuously appreciated The Determined's support on all our collaborative projects (from the Climate Action Summit to the COVID-19 Workshop). Genuinely, I love what Marc and Sarah do to create openness and creativity in the design process.”

Q: Are you charging for these workshops?
A: Normally, our guided networking events costs $2,000. We decided to offer this event to people working on the global pandemic as a pro-bono service. Don’t worry, you’ll get the same amount of attention, energy, and quality. However, if you do have a budget and want to support a small business offering, we would appreciate any donation you would be willing to provide.

Q: I’m ready to go. When can we start?
A: Great! We prefer a two-week heads up (minimum) for all of our work. This give us time to coordinate with you and your team, prep for the virtual session, and to help promote.

Q: What virtual platform do you use?
A: We love Zoom. We love them even more since they updated their security and privacy! The app has some great features that makes a virtual event standout.

Q: What do I need to do to prepare?
A: We’ll discuss this in depth during our initial call, but you can start thinking about the challenge you want to address, the types of people you want to attend, and the goals for the event.

Q: What happens with all the ideas generated from the event?
A: One of two things can happen. You can review the ideas generated with your team after the event and move forward on your own, or you can take your idea to the COVID Accelerator. Learn more below.

Have a few great ideas from the event?

Take your ideas to our friends at the COVID Accelerator!

COVID Accelerator is a community that brings together people and ideas with resources to move forward. We've got to work together to get ahead of this fast-moving virus.

Join doctors on the frontlines, engineers, scientists, storytellers, artists, and designers, all working toward a common goal. No technical background? Not a problem. Everyone’s got something to add.
